The Commission
For Zhang Yixing 张艺兴’s “Flawed Crown” Global Listening Event in Kuala Lumpur, Ling Flowery created a floral tribute installation inspired by the strength, transformation, and defiant energy behind the 斗战胜佛 theme.
The design direction focused on purple, mauve, blush, ivory, and deep berry tones, creating a visual language that felt powerful yet refined. Instead of a traditional flower stand, the installation was designed as a fan support statement, combining floral letters, sculptural arrangements, custom signage, and message details into one immersive presentation.

Design Direction
The floral concept was built around transformation and resilience. Lavender, blush, ivory, and violet blooms were layered with roses, orchids, hydrangeas, carnations, alliums, chrysanthemums, anthuriums, protea, and soft textural accents to create a rich but controlled composition.
The floral letters were arranged as a strong visual centrepiece, giving the tribute a bold event presence while still keeping the details delicate up close. Soft feather-like textures and sculptural floral forms added movement, making the installation feel alive under venue lighting.
A custom fan message board was included as part of the display, connecting the floral work to the emotional meaning behind the project. The result was not only a decorative tribute, but a full fan support presentation shaped around music, identity, and the courage to transform.
